Welcome to Foster's Logging website. My name is Jim Foster. I'm the owner/operator of Foster's Logging and this is a little bit about me and my company.
I've lived in Port Orchard all my life and have been involved with "TREES" since I was about 3 years old. In our family, going to "The Show", meant trekking out into the woods to watch my dad, Wayne Foster cut down cedar trees, NOT going to the movies.
When I'm not out logging, I enjoy fishing, "Bow Hunting", and watching SeaHawks Football. I also sponsor a Little League Team for the South Kitsap Southern League, which is a lot of fun.
About My Business
My crew and I carry out Responsible Logging. We are a team of Private Contractors who harvest timber using good equipment and Safe Forest Practices. All trees that we cut are selected by the landowner for Selective Harvesting. We clean up after the job is finished, leaving the landowner with little or no work to finish up.
The main species of trees that we harvest are Fir, Hemlock, Cedar, Maple and Alder. No tree is too big for us to handle nor are "Danger Trees" too dangerous.
